About MellowBee.net

MellowBee.net was given to me as a Christmas present from my boyfriend, Grayson. The domain was purchased Christmas Day, 2007. The site was opened December 30th, 2007. The purpose of this website is mostly for my own blogging pleasure. The majority of the content of my website is to provide myself with a place to journal frequently. Some content for visitors will be provided, but most likely not regularly updated. I also plan to use this website as a place to showcase my person writings including poetry, short works, and academic work.

I have had a few websites before, but never my very own domain. I have some skills in web design and HTML, but am still learning. I hope for my site to grow and develope over the years I plan to own MellowBee.net.

The name "Mellow Bee" was picked by Gray and I. "Mellows" is a nick name that Gray calls me, which is a play off of my name, Melissa. The name Melissa means "honey bee" in Greek. I love everything that has to do with bumble bees, so after a while, Gray started calling me "Mellow Bee." I originally wanted to buy MissMelissa.net but we both agreed it sounded too much like porn. So we agreed on Mellow Bee since it's creative and respresents my name.
